Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – Confidential Search


About the Role

Seeking a visionary Chief Marketing Officer to drive strategic marketing initiatives, strengthen brand positioning, and fuel business growth for an innovative sports technology organization. The CMO will be part of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, and will have responsibility for leading all aspects of marketing, from digital strategy and brand management to fan engagement and partnership development.


Key Responsibilities


Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and growth ambitions.


Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and results-driven performance.


Oversee all brand initiatives and ensure a unified, powerful brand message across digital, social, experiential, and traditional channels.


Drive innovative fan and customer engagement campaigns leveraging data analytics, digital platforms, and sports-specific trends.


Manage public relations, crisis communication, and the company’s external presence with media outlets and industry partners.


Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and sponsorships, expanding the company’s reach in the sports and technology sectors.


Monitor and optimize marketing performance metrics, controlling budgets and ensuring ROI across all activities.


Stay on top of industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the sports technology landscape.


Qualifications


Demonstrated executive experience leading marketing in a growth-focused sports, technology, or related field.


Proven success in building brands, leading digital transformation, and managing multi-channel marketing operations.


Expertise in fan or customer engagement strategies, digital marketing, and partnership development.


Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.


Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred.
